ABOUT US!

In 1956, a new church plant began at the intersection of Perkins and Main, located in the

historic heart of Downtown Leesburg. The edifice, erected in 1883, became the home of

Central Baptist Church. Officially established on February 10, 1957, the church conducted

its inaugural service with 58 charter members. The church's mission is to disseminate His

teachings through evangelism, discipleship, and missions, adhering to conservative

doctrines and esteeming the King James Version for its accurate translation from trustworthy

manuscripts.
                                                                                                                 WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE BIBLE
We believe that the Holy Bible is the verbally (every word), plenary (complete) and infallible (without error) inspired Word of God as contained in the original manuscripts.

GOD
We believe that there is one, living and true God. That in the unity of the Godhead (the Trinity), there are three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

CREATION
We believe in the biblical account of creation, which states that God created the world in six 24-hour days. We believe that humans were created in God's image and likeness, and that all plant and animal life was created directly by God. We reject any form of evolution.

FALL OF MAN
We believe that God created man in innocence and that he sinned against God and fell from his sinless state of perfection, and all born after Adam are now sinners, totally depraved, and therefore under just condemnation and are guilty before God.

SALVATION
We believe that the salvation of sinners (all mankind) is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, not by any works we might do, but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood. We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus eternally secure in Christ forever.

PERSEVERANCE OF GOD
We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus eternally secure in Christ forever.

CHURCH
We believe that the local New Testament church consists of an assembly of believers, who have been baptized by immersion, and who have united together for the express purpose of fulfilling the “Great Commission.” We believe that the officers of the Church are ordained pastors and deacons, whose qualifications are clearly defined in the Scriptures. We believe that the Church observes two ordinances: baptism, and the Lord‘s Supper (communion), and that they have no saving power.
